What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

Two pieces of advice have been impactful on my career. First, be a lifelong learner. Challenge your brain! Also, be willing to take chances and step outside your comfort zone. That might mean a different job, a new role at your company, maybe moving to a new city – just be willing to take a chance.

What are your impressions of metro Atlanta’s business environment?

Metro Atlanta is home to the friendliest, most collaborative business environment of anywhere I’ve ever lived. It’s a place where your fellow business leaders want to see you succeed as much as they want to succeed themselves. There’s a shared believe that we should collectively thrive.

What are the most important character traits of a great leader?

Good leaders do two things: they bring really smart, capable people together to work on problems that can be solved as a team – and then they act as a remover of obstacles.

What are the most important character traits of a great leader?

Once we confirm that somebody has the right skills and technical ability, I’m looking for self-awareness and humility. I like to ask “What would folks on your team say they don’t like about working for you?”
