Manager, Community Relations
Margaret Beckley serves as the Community Relations Manager for the Atlanta Sports Council. She connects businesses with contracting opportunities related to major upcoming sporting events and manages the recruitment and onboarding of about 1,000 volunteers for the 2025 College Football National Championship in Atlanta.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Margaret received her dual bachelor’s degree in international affairs and political science, minored in entomology, and earned a certificate in personal and organizational leadership from the University of Georgia. She also received her master’s degree in public administration, specializing in sports administration, from Georgia State University.
Out of the office, Margaret enjoys staying active, watching sports, reading, and exploring the community’s arts, culture, and restaurants. She serves on the Atlanta Speech School Guild Board and volunteers with the University of Georgia Mentor Program, Virginia Highland District Association, and Atlanta Track Club. Additionally, she is a board member of the French American Chamber of Commerce and the Young Professionals Board for the Belgian American Chamber of the South. She is also part of the 2023–2024 Atlanta Hawks She Leads Women’s Leadership Program. Abby holds a master’s degree in international affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. She speaks mediocre French and lives in Atlanta with her husband and two daughters.
