Connecting students with top employers
The Metro Atlanta Chamber hosted its first-ever Atlanta – Where You Belong internship fair at the Delta Flight Museum, bringing together students and young professionals from metro Atlanta, across Georgia, and neighboring states. Attendees arrived with résumés in hand and elevator pitches at the ready; attendees packed the space, eager to connect with Fortune 500 companies and leading employers. The energy was electric from the moment the doors opened, setting up the tone for a day full of opportunity, networking, and career-defining conversation.
The event drew more than 1,000 early-career professionals and featured 33 powerhouse employers, including Delta Air Lines, Norfolk Southern, The Home Depot, UPS, and others. With over 1,800 registrations through the Georgia Interns App, participants represented more than 170 colleges and universities from across Georgia, the U.S., and internationally, highlighting the broad reach and growing influence of the region’s talent pipeline.
“The energy and turnout at the Atlanta – Where You Belong internship fair showed just how eager students and young professionals are to find their place in metro Atlanta’s job market,” said Zach Fiore, director of talent pipeline management of the Metro Atlanta Chamber. “By connecting attendees directly with Fortune 500 companies and local industry leaders, this event plays a critical role in helping the next generation launch successful careers in the core of Georgia.”
The internship fair is part of the Metro Atlanta Chamber’s broader talent strategy, which includes ATL Interns After 5, a signature initiative redefining how students connect with opportunity and each other. The 2025 edition brought fresh energy and expanded programming, offering a mix of career-building events, culturally enriching experiences, and community engagement to give interns a look into what it’s like to live and work in one of the nation’s fastest-growing regions.
