Changemakers solve problems, often sparking innovation and change in the world. In metro Atlanta, we are proud to have Chris Womack and Kim Greene pioneering change to make our region better. Recent executive management changes at Southern Company have elevated Chris and Kim to president of Southern Company and chair, president and chief executive officer of Georgia Power, respectively.
Chris Womack is an insightful leader that has served as president of Georgia Power since 2020 and chairman, president and CEO since 2021. In his new role as president of Southern Company, Chris will continue the commitment to providing clean, safe, reliable, and affordable energy solutions to customers across the United States. Chris serves on the Metro Atlanta Chamber’s executive committee, is our 2024 board chair, and is a sought-after advisor.
Kim Greene, MAC’s board treasurer, is a focused decision-maker and currently serves as chair, president and CEO of Southern Company Gas, a subsidiary of Southern Company. Prior to her current position, Greene served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Southern Company. She began her career at Southern Company in 1991. Effective March 31, Kim will lead Georgia Power as chair, president and chief executive officer.
