Senior Vice President, Public Policy & Talent
Dave Williams joined the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) in 2011 and is the Senior Vice President of Public Policy & Talent. He works closely with business leaders and state legislators, advancing policies to improve Atlanta’s quality of life and business climate. He also leads MAC’s talent initiatives.
Dave has an extensive track record of civic leadership. He was elected Mayor of the City of Suwanee (2008–11) and to Suwanee’s City Council (1998–2001). He served as President of the Gwinnett Municipal Association (2009) and Treasurer of the Atlanta Regional Commission during his board service from 2002–07. Dave is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, Leadership Gwinnett, Regional Leadership Institute, and the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership (IGEL).
He currently serves on the Metro North Georgia Water Planning District Board, the executive committees of ULI-Atlanta’s Livable Communities Council, and the Regional Business Coalition of Metro Atlanta. He also serves on the advisory boards of Transportation for America, Georgia Tech’s Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business, and Stillfire Brewing.
Dave started his career with the Atlanta Sports Council and Atlanta Organizing Committee, the bid committee that won the 1996 Olympic Games.
A Georgia Tech graduate, he resides in Suwanee, Georgia.
