Musaddaq “Mu” Hassan is the Infrastructure Coordinator at the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC), where he leads infrastructure policy initiatives alongside SVP Dave Williams. He collaborates with organizations like MARTA and GDOT to improve transportation and transit infrastructure across Atlanta and Georgia. He’s also excited to be part of MAC’s work on a new long-term water strategy.

Outside of work, Mu helps run a Christmas tree lot with his high school friends called Trees for Tuition, where the profits provide scholarships to high school seniors in the APS district for college tuition. He’s also passionate about soccer and enjoys weightlifting and powerlifting. He’s currently training for his first powerlifting competition.

Mu grew up in Atlanta’s Bankhead neighborhood and graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in political science and Arabic. He’s the son of two Sudanese immigrants who fled the country in 1999 to escape war. As the second of four children and the firstborn in the U.S., Mu takes great pride in his family and African heritage. He currently lives in Atlanta.
