Atlanta’s sports teams gave us a memorable year full of triumph and celebration. Now it’s time to decide who deserves to be honored as the very best of Atlanta sports. The 17th annual Atlanta Sports Awards, presented by the Atlanta Sports Council, is back and returns to 11Alive. Instead of one night of sports honoring the best moments over the past year, why not have two weeks of coverage and content? Each award will be featured in its own segment, followed by a one-hour special that will re-air four times. We can’t think of a better way to energize the sports community and recognize the hard work of the athletes, teams and icons who continue to shape Atlanta’s sports history.
