The Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) relaunched www.GaPollWorker.com , a targeted initiative aimed at attracting a new population of poll workers for the 2022 elections and beyond. MAC’s member companies will encourage their employees to visit www.GaPollWorker.com where they can sign up to be a poll worker in their county of residence.

MAC originally launched the poll worker initiative in 2020 after speaking out in response to voters experiencing long wait times and difficulties during the June 2020 Georgia primary election. The pandemic created many serious challenges for Georgia counties as they conducted those elections, including the loss of many traditional poll workers. The program was a great success, recruiting over 2,200 poll workers across 61 counties. Delta Air Lines, The Home Depot, and IHG Hotels & Resorts were the program’s most active participants as hundreds of their employees signed up through the portal in 2020.

“Accurate and efficient elections are essential to a strong democracy, and we need smart, well-trained and tech-savvy poll workers to make that happen,” said Katie Kirkpatrick, Metro Atlanta Chamber President and CEO. “We are happy to partner with local governments by connecting them to thousands of our region’s brightest employees.”
