The Georgia Legislative Black Caucus (GLBC) held its Annual Legislative Conference and Inaugural Heritage Gala at the Georgian Terrace and the Fox Theatre. The GLBC is comprised of 68 house and senate legislators, and is currently the largest caucus of Black state legislators in the country.

During the legislative conference, policy makers, academics, community leaders, students, and others heard from experts in various disciplines about topics of criminal justice reform, healthcare inequities, historically Black colleges and universities in the 21st century, wealth building, and entrepreneurship. The conference gave participants the opportunity to listen, understand, learn, and find innovative ways to lead in the community.

During the “Making Smart Investments in Education” panel, an informative conversation happened between Representative CaMia Hopson-Jackson and Dr. George T. French Jr., president of Clark Atlanta University about the various academic and financial investments in Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Another highlight was a panel discussion titled, "Protecting the Workforce and Strengthening the Middle Class" moderated by Representative Dar'Shun Kendrick, who runs a law firm that caters to small business owners. The speakers were Co-Founder & Managing Partner of the Fearless Fund Arian Simone, Financial Planner at Prudential Financial Will Rosser, and CEO of the Russell Center Innovation & Entrepreneurship Jay Bailey who offered excellent, thought-provoking insight, and recommendations to find ways to create resources, lean on education spaces, and find ways to navigate the business community.

Ending the conference was a black-tie gala held at the Fox Theatre. During the program the GLBC honored several individuals and organizations for their outstanding work and support for the caucus.
