Talent Acquisition Coordinator, Connect to Work Georgia
Angelia O’Neal is the Talent Acquisition Coordinator for Connect to Work GA at the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC), where she plays a pivotal role in connecting unemployed and underemployed individuals from marginalized communities to meaningful career opportunities with MAC investor partners.
A Detroit native, Angelia earned her Bachelor of Science in fashion merchandising and marketing from Eastern Michigan University, managing a $2.1 million department by age 23. She later earned her M.B.A. in acquisition and contract management from Strayer University and a diploma in radio broadcasting, leading to a dynamic career that included work at Radio One and hosting a syndicated international news talk show.
For over two decades, she has empowered more than 1,800 youths and adults in metro Atlanta through workforce-development training and professional-wardrobe support.
Angelia’s leadership extends beyond her role at MAC. She is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and Women of Excellence International. She has also made significant contributions to her community, including serving as the first African American and woman Citizen Board Member for District 4 at the Atlanta Regional Commission, representing Douglas County and parts of metro Atlanta.
In addition to her professional achievements, Angelia is a proud mother of two: a son pursuing medical school and a daughter excelling in high school. Living in Douglas County for over 20 years, she embraces her love of fast cars, music, dancing, fashion, and comedy. Known as a plant enthusiast and shopaholic, Angelia’s dynamic personality reflects her passion for life and her unwavering dedication to creating opportunities for others.
