The Atlanta Sports Council’s mission is to facilitate the development of sports in Metro Atlanta by serving as a recruiter and organizer for major sporting events.  

Some of the ASC’s recent accomplishments include recruiting and planning the following:

  • 2018 and 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship
  • 2018 Major League Soccer All-Star Game
  • Super Bowl LIII (2019)
  • 2020 NCAA Men’s Final Four
  • 2024 Copa America
  • 2025 Major League Baseball All-Star Game
  • 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Southeast Regional
  • 2025 FIFA Club World Cup
  • 2026 FIFA World Cup  
  • Super Bowl LXII (2028)

During Corso’s tenure at the organization, the ASC has been named Sports Commission of the Year by the National Association of Sports Commissions four times.

Corso is a graduate of Florida State University, and is a member of Leadership Atlanta (class of 2017), Rotary Club of Atlanta, and serves on the board of directors of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau and College Football Hall of Fame. Corso was named one of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s most admired CEO’s in 2024.
