Payroll & People Coordinator
Deidra Brown is the Payroll & People Coordinator at the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC). She co-led the comprehensive revamp of MAC’s Employee Handbook. She successfully integrated a new third-party administrator for health insurance benefits, ensuring a smooth transition for employees and enhancing claims and reimbursement processes.
In her free time, she enjoys crafting and working on creative projects, earning her the nickname “Cricut Queen” for her talent in making personalized items like home décor and gifts. She also runs a small business, ATL Bounce Haus, where she customizes bounce houses for events such as parties, weddings, and sorority/fraternity gatherings. Alongside her creative ventures, she has served as an HOA parliamentarian and volunteered for Hands on Atlanta. She hopes to join SHRM in the future.
A native of Atlanta and a graduate of Tennessee State University, she now resides in Decatur with her husband, Norman, to whom she’s been married for 14 years. He’s a teacher and basketball coach at Parkview High School in Gwinnett County. They have three children: Wesley, a freshman football player at Temple University; Jackson, a middle schooler passionate about playing in the band; and their youngest, Bailey Camille, affectionately known as their “Super Princess.”
