Senior Account Executive
Jack Murphy is Senior Account Executive at Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC). He is a business development professional that has worked with leaders in the metro Atlanta region for more than 20 years growing MAC’s investor base and cultivating long-term relationships with investors. He works with his colleagues in the Investor Relations group to ensure revenue goals are met to continue to fund the strategic initiatives of economy, talent, and community.
Jack joined MAC in September 2003. Prior to MAC, he was Vice President of Quality Management at SunTrust bank. He also was a curriculum designer/instructor with Georgia Quick Start. Until MAC, he spent the bulk of his career with McGraw-Hill, working in operations, HR, and quality areas. His career began at Elon University as Director of the Living/Learning Center. Jack was also Senior Adjunct Professor of Quality Management in the Keller Graduate School M.B.A. program.
Jack has been a volunteer with The Society of St. Vincent de Paul for more than 17 years. Currently, he co-chairs the North Fulton Improvement Network, an organization of non-profit, faith, business, and community leaders working to build public awareness of the challenges faced by the financially vulnerable in our area. He is a director for the Fulton Education Foundation and is past national chair of Systemic Change and Advocacy for SVdP, USA.
Jack received a B.A. in psychology from Belmont Abbey College and an M.Ed. from UNC-Greensboro. He and his wife, Nancy, a retired Fulton County School principal, have two grown daughters and six grandchildren.
