Marketing Director
Kate Belson is the Marketing Director at the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC), where she helps lead initiatives to position metro Atlanta as a top destination to live and work through the Atlanta Where You Belong campaign. In this role, she manages strategic corporate and community partnerships to elevate the region’s appeal to top talent.
Prior to joining MAC, Kate spent six years leading marketing, communications, corporate partnerships, and business operations for a James Beard Award-winning chef’s restaurant group in Atlanta. During this time, she developed a deep appreciation for the local food scene and regional agriculture. Kate also serves on the board of Georgia Organics, reflecting her continued passion for food, sustainability, and community. Her background also includes nonprofit and advertising agency experience.
Kate is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned a degree in Public Relations with a minor in Communication Studies. She is an avid Bulldog fan and serves as a mentor through the UGA Mentor Program.
Although born in Atlanta, Kate spent 16 years growing up in the East Bay outside of San Francisco. While she was raised across the country, Georgia has always held a special place in her heart, as she spent summers visiting family throughout the state. She has called Atlanta home since 2018 and now lives in Garden Hills.
