Marshall Guest is Chief Strategy Officer at the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC), where he partners with the Chamber’s leadership to shape enterprise strategy, align organizational priorities , oversees strategic communications, and advance key initiatives that strengthen metro Atlanta’s economic competitiveness. 

Since joining MAC in 2014, Marshall’s responsibilities have expanded across public policy, strategic communications, and organizational strategy. His work has included advancing tax and economic development policy, collaborating with leaders on issues affecting metro Atlanta’s competitiveness, protecting the region’s reputation as a welcoming place for people and businesses, securing state support for major sporting events, and leading strategic initiatives that contribute to the region’s long-term economic success. 

Prior to joining MAC, Marshall served as senior policy advisor and press secretary to former Georgia House Speaker David Ralston and held staff positions in the Georgia State Senate and Governor’s Office. 

A lifelong metro Atlanta resident, Marshall earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and an MBA from Georgia State University. He is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, Leadership DeKalb, and the Regional Leadership Institute, and is a member of Leadership Georgia’s Class of 2026. He serves on the Board of Directors of both the Atlanta Community Food Bank and Invest Georgia and is a member of the State Compensation Commission. 

Marshall and his wife, Sarah, an educator with City Schools of Decatur, live in Decatur with their three sons, Griffin, Worth, and Archie.
