Innovation and Marketing & DEI Manager
Vanessa Tallie is the Marketing, Innovation, and Entrepreneur Manager at the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC). She is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in executive support and administration.
Vanessa’s journey at MAC began 2022 as an administrative assistant in brand communications. There, she provided invaluable support to the Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion and Brand Communication Director with calendar management, events, and daily marketing operations. Her dedication and hard work were soon recognized, leading to her promotion to manager in 2024, a testament to her professional growth and success.
Before MAC, Vanessa spent several years as an executive assistant before advancing to executive administrator for the managing director at a prominent PR agency. Her extensive experience as an assistant enabled her to manage a small group of temporary employees and a company receptionist. Her deep commitment to excellence and professionalism has made her the go-to person for special events throughout her career.
Vanessa, a native of Atlanta, holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Mercer University and a certification in event planning from the University of Georgia.
Vanessa and her husband, Malcolm, a Kaiser Permanente Medicare manager, have been married for 50 years. They reside in Fayetteville, Georgia, with one daughter, LaTawanna. Vanessa is also a loving grandmother to two grandchildren, Kristin and Kenneth Jr., and is devoted to her two grand-dogs, Zeus and Princess.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Vanessa’s creative side shines through in her love for gardening and interior decorating. She finds peace in her yard, where she cares for her plants. She enjoys coordinating outfits for friends in her free time, showcasing her eye for aesthetics. Her passion for organizing and bringing order and harmony to her living spaces is evident in her hobbies, making her a well-rounded individual.
